5 Days Kilimanjaro Marangu Route

On the second day, you will continue your journey from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut, which is located at an impressive altitude of 3,720 meters. Along the trail, you will be treated to breathtaking scenic views that will leave you in awe of the natural beauty surrounding you.

The third day of the itinerary involves trekking from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut, situated at an even higher altitude of 4,703 meters. This day is crucial as you will be preparing yourself for the summit push, mentally and physically. Take this opportunity to acclimatize to the high altitude and gather your strength for the challenging ascent ahead.

The fourth day is the much-anticipated summit day. You will start early in the morning, embarking on the trek from Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak, the highest point of Mount Kilimanjaro, standing tall at 5,895 meters. As you reach the summit, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking sunrise that paints the sky with vibrant hues. After taking in the awe-inspiring views, you will descend to Horombo Hut, where you will spend the night.

On the final day of the itinerary, you will descend from Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate, marking the completion of your trek. This descent will allow you to reflect on the incredible journey you have undertaken and appreciate the beauty of the surroundings one last time. Once you reach Marangu Gate, you will be transferred back to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure, bidding farewell to this unforgettable adventure.
