Depending on what you decide with your safari guide; you could have breakfast at the camp and carry a packed lunch, or you could carry both a packed breakfast and lunch. On this day, you will descend into the crater, which is filled with vegetation, forestry, and animals. The crater was formed by volcanic activities in the past that caused the creation of a caldera. The caldera got deeper and bigger, reaching a depth of about 610 meters.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers an area of about 260 square kilometres. Get to explore Africa’s ‘Garden of Eden’ in the comfort of your safari vehicle and spot the Big Five: elephant, buffalo, leopard, black mane lion and the rare black rhino. You will also be able to see hyenas, jackals, flamingos and the yawning hippos. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch in the heart of this ancient volcanic crater, close to the flamingo pool.
